Description

The Brabham BT52 was a Formula One car designed for the Brabham team by longtime Brabham designer Gordon Murray for the 1983 season. It ran on Michelin tires and was powered by the BMW M12/13 four-cylinder turbocharged engine. In qualifying trim, the engine produced approximately 1,280 bhp (950 kW), but it was detuned to around 850 bhp (630 kW) for actual races. The BT52 featured a distinctive dart-shaped profile, oversized rear wing, and short, angular sidepods to minimize lift. Nelson Piquet, the 1981 World Champion, drove the BT52 alongside Riccardo Patrese. Piquet's skillful driving, combined with the car's performance, led him to win three races (Brazil, Italy, and European Grand Prix) and secure the 1983 Drivers' Championship with a turbo engine. The BT52 remains a memorable part of F1 history, showcasing technical innovation and Piquet's talent. This tee was created to be a versatile and stylish companion for all your casual appearances.
